This month ASHRM teamed up with the Hamad Medical Corporation to host QSHRM 2019, the first-ever joint health care risk management and patient safety summit in Doha, Qatar.
The September 13-14 summit was an opportunity to put into practice one of ASHRM’s core values: collaboration. The conference provided ASHRM with an opportunity to share knowledge and best practices, and to learn from our peers who are facing similar challenges halfway across the world.
ASHRM President Denise Shope delivered the Keynote address for the conference. Other ASHRM leaders who presented at sessions included Franchesca Charney, ASHRM’s Director of Risk Management, Matt Hornberger, ASHRM’s Executive Director, Katie Carlson, ASHRM’s Associate Director of Education and Tatum O’Sullivan and Meg Garrett, representing the ASHRM Board.
QSHRM 2019 was a joint effort with the Hamad Medical Corporation, one of the leading health care providers in Qatar and the Middle East. The theme for the conference was “The Road to Zero-Harm Begins Here.”
