Letter from the Chair

Articles Contributions to the Forum Welcomed

ASHRM members are invited to submit to the Forum articles of interest to risk managers. Share your thoughts about current trends or personal experiences from which others can learn. Some authors draw topics from current projects or news events. Others from conferences or workshop they’ve attended. The Forum encourages submissions of articles from 600 to 1,500 words. These are not in-depth journal pieces. Read through some of the Forum articles to see the tone, content and length of what is posted.

There are standing topic sections including: Book Reviews (non-technical books), ASHRM Member Profiles, and ASHRM Event Coverage as well as general categories such as Patient Safety, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, Clinical and Behavioral Health and more.

While highlighting current events and topics of interest in health care risk, the Forum can help members meet publishing requirements for FASHRM and DFASHRM designations.

Submit abstract or topic ideas to me, the current Task Force Chair, at queenofrisk@gmail.com. The topic will be discussed at our monthly meetings. An article is submitted, if the idea is approved, and assigned to a task force member for review. Once approved, the article is posted. If additional information or edits are needed, Task Force members will work with writers to develop a post-ready article.

Please feel free to contact me with questions. Looking forward to your ideas and articles.
